She's balanced. Seriously, stop, Riot. I'd say Liss is more on the underpowered side honestly.
As usual anything on the PBE is subject to change though so please bear in mind nothing (nerf or buff) is set in stone yet.
I'm new! Come say hi here: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/....php?t=3451859
First off thanks for the feedback. I'm going to look into ways to make the store resize instead of scroll. I can't promise anything though.
I'm also going to follow up with the team and see if I can add some configurability so that those of you who prefer the old way can use that. Again, no promises.
Gotcha, I'm not super familiar with the mac commands yet. Usually screenshots help with weird graphical stuff like this.
If stuff was blurring, then my guess is that it was unrelated to lag - graphical stuff like that is usually client related, although I can't say I've experienced something like that. FPS drops would also typically be a game client thing - things are definitely going to be chunky if your FPS dips under 8.
Feel free to post screenshots if it happens again! Thanks OxyProxy.
I've been playing since beta, and while I'm still an active player, I've certainly had my shares of ups and downs. Everyone goes through those rough stretches, and I'm sorry you're going through one right now. Supporting on SR isn't as easy a task as some people think, so props to you for being a support main!
Occasionally I need to take a break from SR for the reasons you listed. Sometimes a little ARAM and Dominion are good for the soul Another thing I like to do during like this is to check out all the awesome community content (such as http://comic-contest.leagueoflegends.com/) or watch some streams/lcs.
Anyway, I thought I'd chip in my two cents based on my personal experience as a LoL player. After a break, if you feel like coming back, then great! If not, that's cool too, I'm glad that you got so much enjoyment out of LoL in your three years playing
Xerath's range is 1300 while rooted, I can easily think of other champions topping 1300 easily.
I tried for over 9000, but it just didn't feel sane.
You still haven't been willing to explain what a 'reasonable'(edit:'realistic' was the word) cooldown for new R means. To rephrase other posts, will Xerath's R remain to Xerath what's Swain's R is to Swain? To augment his combos while remaining a standard part of all of them?
Or do you want to make it a high impact cooldown? If so, why?
It doesn't matter for this phase of testing. Cooldowns are based on the resulting power of an ability. It really comes down to how oppressive an ability feels.
Hint: Supermassive range can be oppressive easily.
Ah, okay. Was the shaped auto attack replacement iterated upon, Xelnath? How did it feel for the enemy?
"I felt like I was playing Dance, Dance, Xerothlution."
It was more just an update on changing the passive to testing out the double cast effect.
An actual complete summary/ (passive, Q, W, E, R effects+how its cast) has yet to be tossed out. Just saying.
| I know a lot of people are just now getting into this conversation, so to reiterate: |
Xerath is a balanced champ on live who has been consistently reported to Riot as "clunky, unintuitive and ultimate dependant". Since he's clearly in his balanced state, yet tests negatively with most players who play him, I started out looking at passive replacements and quality of life changes.
As I got deeper into the character, it became increasingly clear that his intended experience was not being satisfied. The best way to use locus of power was to activate, cast Q, then pop out for the mobility boost (negating the point of sieging). Similarly, the existence of a "Mark->Pop" combo made his skill casting order very consistent.
Furthermore, the payout for the E->Q Combo result in nothing, unless either your team was able to follow up or your ultimate was off cooldown. Worse still, the experience of playing Xerath is that you were a 60-sec champ - only fight while the ult is up. The cadence of his ultimate meant that he was regularly outclassed by Lux's ultimate on a 30 sec cooldown, despite Xerath's damage when he could land his ultimate being far greater than Lux's.
To address this, I'm exploring the following:
Locus of Power is his ultimate, with a realistic cooldown, new bonuses, a ranged auto-attack replacement and possibly increased range.
Arcanopulse can now to be "held down" to charge up to its old "poke" range.
Arcane Barrage has been downgraded to a two-charge basic ability with a % movement slow that does bonus damage equal to three charges if you hit a target with the exact center of both blasts.
I'm currently experimenting with Mage Chains and his passive.
Previous passive iterations gave AP and CDR cap breaking cooldown reduction. This result in a less strategic, more spammy Xerath at max stacks. This was in contrast to the "methodical sniper" playstyle players on the forums expressed and has thus been canned.
Mage Chains is a much tougher problem. The prime-pop gameplay meant his skill order had no choice. However, some form of CC seems acceptable on this kit.
Thanks for the report! We are aware of this issue and will have it fixed in the next build
That be great to see.
What in testing?
What being discarded?
What might stay?
It hasn't been a day, so nothing new is in the works.
I am going to recuse myself at this point. This falls under the purview of the creative team. I have heard their explanations for these things, but I do not want to be playing telephone. I am involved in the art side production of the play-environments, not the development of this map.
Honestly, I do not have an eta. We are making some necessary fixes to open up more content, it takes time. Sorry for the inconvenience, I know its not fun waiting.
Thank you for reporting this Bob, let me know if you see this after the server comes back up.
Considering how many champions had cast times removed from their movement speed increasing abilities for the exact reason of it making no sense that you lose ground to gain ground, that seems like an incredibly awkward line of reasoning.
We do have a fix for this in the next patch. In the meantime, I'm gonna copy/paste something I wrote to help someone who had the same problem. Sorry for the inconvenience, let me know how it goes if you try it!
Item Sets are being saved in the local summoner preferences while we work on the serverside implementation. You should be able to carry them over by grabbing the old preferences file. As always, when dealing with these types of files, make backups so you can undo your changes if something goes wrong. We unfortunately can't give official support for manually editing files like this.
- Find the preferences folder. Example path: \Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0. 1.18\deploy\preferences.
- Inside, you'll see ".properties" files named after summoners
- Make a backup of the one with your CURRENT summoner name, and delete it
- Back up the OLD summoner name file as well, then rename it to your current summoner name
When you relaunch the client, you should have your old item sets (Along with other preferences like music volume level, etc, but your Item Sets are probably more important to you)
I'll post more details are things materialize, but...
- Wooglet's WILL build out of Seeker's Armguard (but end stats and cost may be different). It won't be the only item that builds out of Seeker's.
- Liandry's is coming. Blackfire Torch will be repurposed.
- New item or two.
Current Dominion AP itemization is centered around BFT and Hextech for the most part, so the goal is to break those up and give more options at similar price points.
How goes the progress on this, have you tried re installing the client as EndlessHelix stated?
Perfect deal for a Shanghai All-Stars viewing party, so you guys should consider throwing some! My old university had various viewing parties and they were a blast.
(Or Season 4 Arrested Development marathon, if that's your flavor...)
I believe we saw this on one of her other skins as well, thanks for catching this issue!
